Spanish With Sarah began with after-school enrichment more than a decade ago — and it remains one of the most joyful ways for children to experience Spanish. Our program gives students a natural, immersive language environment where they learn through movement, conversation, story, and hands-on activities.
Twice each week, students spend 45 minutes participating in games, art projects, music, reading, writing, partner work, and more — in Spanish.
Whether your child is brand-new to Spanish or already has experience, we offer engaging classes that nurture confidence and real communication skills.
Our after-school Spanish enrichment classes are open to all students in 1st grade and above.
Students do not need to attend Spanish With Sarah to join the program.
Our program follows the Spanish With Sarah school calendar and begins one week after regular SWS classes start.

Our time together is fun, structured, and meaningful. Class activities include:
Interactive games
Songs and conversational practice
Arts and crafts
Reading and guided writing
Storytelling
Vocabulary- and grammar-building activities
Partner- and group-based language use
Each week includes:
One day focused on new vocabulary and grammar
One day focused on applying the language in authentic, engaging ways
Students will:
Build confidence with greetings, introductions, and simple conversations
Develop vocabulary around familiar topics (family, school, food, colors, numbers, animals)
Begin forming complete sentences using basic verbs
Learn to read short, simple texts with support
Build positive habits for Spanish learning
Students will:
Expand vocabulary into more detailed expression (descriptions, routines, opinions, hobbies)
Strengthen verb conjugations (present, past, future)
Read and discuss short stories and informational texts
Write short paragraphs and guided responses
Practice holding longer, more natural conversations in Spanish
To help each child grow and to keep class smooth and productive, we ask students to:
Arrive on time so we can make full use of our 45 minutes
Bring their binder, books, and homework to every class
Complete assigned homework (often short reading) to reinforce learning
Treat classroom spaces and materials with care
Remember to take materials home before going to the playground
You can expect:
Prompt start and end times
Engaging, level-appropriate lessons
Spanish-rich instruction that builds confidence
Clear communication about your child’s progress
Resources to support practice at home
Homework is a key part of success in the program.
Because students only meet twice a week, regular practice between classes helps:
Reinforce vocabulary
Improve reading fluency
Strengthen listening and speaking
Build long-term confidence
Assignments are designed to be manageable and meaningful.
Monthly Tuition: $125 per month (September–June)
Registration/Materials Fee: $75 (non-refundable, one-time)
Tuition is billed via ACH on the 4th or 5th of each month.
