History

Spanish With Sarah first began in 2006 as a small after school enrichment program.  We began by offering fun, whole-language activities to small groups of children as an introduction to the Spanish language and culture. Through parent request we began offering parent-tot classes which then led to us offering our first Spanish immersion preschool class in 2007. This first adventure into preschool was a huge success and led to us offering 2 preschool classes in 2008, and three preschool classes in 2009.

In 2010, as the school continued to grow, we moved into a bigger building in down town Camas, offering the immersion preschool classes as well as our first 1/2 day Spanish immersion kindergarten class and after school enrichment classes.

In 2011 we officially became an accredited school in the state of Washington and once again moved into a larger building with more classrooms in Camas.  Each year we have added a grade level to where in 2015-2016 we had our first graduating class of Fifth graders.

We have been a full dual-immersion elementary program since 2015. We have 4 Spanish immersion preschool classes, dual-language Kindergarten – Fifth grade, three after school enrichment classes and before school AM Spanish classes for high school credit.

Spanish With Sarah was created through a true desire to offer children the wonderful opportunity to grow and experience a love of learning in a second language.  The families at Spanish With Sarah have made the school what it is today: A collection of families working together to offer our children the best education in a loving, supporting environment….that just happens to be in Spanish.
